We just can't get enough of this new print used for by Louis Vuitton for the label's autumn winter collection for 2010. Shown here on the iconic speedy (left) and also on a smaller clutch bag, it's a fabulous blend of traditional and contemporary that LV is getting absolutely right in many of its designs at present.
The pattern itself incorporates the traditional LV monogram, but with a tactile velvet overlay with blue sequins for extra sparkle. The finished effect looks a little bit like camouflage, but all in the best possible taste: beautiful contrast with the pale buff straps and fobs, too! It's good to see a brand managing to stick to its core design principles without slavishly refusing to let them go.
