accordian-bag.jpgWe could probably have a whole category dedicated to 'bags that look like other things'. Judith Leiber's animal bags, those gothic coffin bags, those hideous and ill-advised shoe-shaped handbags...and I could go on. Not content with the many bag shapes that have stood the test of time, designers seem intent on giving everyday items zips, straps and slots to put things in.

Stella McCartney is the latest to come up with such and idea: this time it's an accordion. It won't play you a tune, but it does have some room for your belongings, and the 'skeletal' exterior houses a small satin clutch, which can be removed. I have to say I'm torn on this one: it's actually a nice shape, being fashioned from an object that was already designed to be carried. It might fit in with the 'Dutch' theme that fashion's currently flirting with (clogs etc) and would be cool for summer. But practical? I'd imagine it would be very uncomfortable to carry, and the clutch is pretty teeny tiny.

What do you think? Yay or nay.
