Ever since her infamous 'cupcake' bag stole the limelight (and Carrie's dignity) in the first Sex and the City movie, Hollywood's A-list just can't seem to get enough of the sparkly appendages, which are being spotted at premieres and parties everywhere. Accessory queen Natalie Portman was recently spied with the Discoball Sphere Clutch on her arm, and here we see Sherlock Holmes star Rachel McAdams wearing another of the designer's glittering creations to the premiere of the movie. Freida Pinto, Katy Perry and Rachel Weisz are also all said to be fans.
Of course, when many of Leiber's iconic bags cost upwards of £3,000, it's easy to see why the Hollywood elite are all so keen to show them off, but for the mortals among us who like a bit of sparkle to lighten up the gloom, it's good to know that the trend is now going anywhere in a hurry. Watch out for more sequins, paillettes and bags fashioned to look like all manner of animals, birds and colourful objects in 2010.
