No matter how many flashy gadgets and electronic organisers they invent, I know that I'll never ever stop loving good old-fashioned stationery. The excitement of that beginning-of-term visit to WH Smiths to buy new pencils and folders has really never left me.
Right now I'm joined at the hip to my Filofax, but my head's just been turned by these slick new notebooks from Smythson, which would make really handy, lightweight writing companions. Whether or not you choose to use the notebooks for their intended purposes (and personally, I'd have no problem filling an entire notebook with wishlist items) they're a stylish and subtly quirky way to keep your life in order.
