Usually, when I review a product, one of the first things I mention is its fabric: is it genuine leather, made from an 'exotic skin' or animal-friendly vinyl? But in the case of Suzie Crisfield's jewellery and accessories I can't do that - because they're primarily made from a 'secret material'!
Having handled a few of Crisfield's products, it is certainly true that nothing else quite feels, or works like her sillicone-based fabric. It's like a very light PVC that gives a shininess and a vividness to all of her work, whether it's shaped into petals or used as a shiny and colourful coating on a scarf. She's used it in clothing, accessories and even interiors - and there's a lot of potential in her work.
