Pailletts are back! That's the sequin's larger and more fashion-snob-friendly cousin. Miu Miu have used them to embellish this lovely clutch bag, and I think the choice of colours is genius. The graduated reds and browns seem to mimic a sunset, or even the shadows cast by a slowly-rotating mirror ball in a sultry bar...
When seen from the side, the pailettes jut out from a solid gold-tone case and a long slim strap makes the bag easy to wear. I think this is a great antidote to all those oh-so-pretty but annoying-to-carry box clutches out there, and hope that a few more designers take heed of this more practical style.
