Let's face it: the very concept of a designer sock is ludicrous, but it's these little moments of collective madness that make us love fashion so much.
Miu Miu has created two pairs of cotton socks that are festooned with beads and sequins for what they call the 'the ultimate in haute hosiery'. Priced at £245 (don't they know there's a recession on!?) they'll certainly be like no socks you've had before, and are guaranteed to dazzle on those rare occasions you want to have your socks showing.
Don't get me wrong - I like them, and if anyone wanted to buy me them for Christmas it would be a better treat than the usual set from Next. But £245 for socks? It just can't happen. On sale over at Net-a-Porter
