I spotted this unusually-shaped Pineider handbag over at Forzieri earlier, where I spent a good few seconds trying to figure out whether I was viewing it from the front or the side, confused by its uncanny likeness to the end of a sports bag.
Once I'd established that the bag was indeed face on, however, I took quite a liking to this irregular item, which is prettily decorated with brogue edging and tassels. It's beautifully put together, with a perforated pattern and strong, visible stitching, the two-tone leather giving it a certain retro appeal. Would I spend four figures on this bag? Almost certainly not, but for a smart dresser who likes to inject a bit of colour and cheer into her look this could be a sound investment. £1,065 at Forzieri
