Burberry and Barbed Wire: a match made in hell?

Burberry have got ever so prickly recently, in what is a brave move for the trad-chic brand. Are they channeling the punk look, or could it be all those years of pent-up rage at all that counterfeiting?

The brand's latest jewellery range includes a barbed wire bracelet and necklace (which is growing on me although it does remind me a little too much of Pamela Anderson) and here, the pieces have been used as bag embellishments on a baby check tote. It feels to my like this is a combination that should never happen. But what do you think?
