
Whether we can blame the recession (possible) or something as straightforward as a change in fashion (more likely), it's very plain to see we are seeing more of a switch from blinging jewellery on the ears, neck and fingers to simple sparklers and eye-catching designs worn in the hair. They're feminine and pretty, beautiful and yet simple and not gaudy and that is what appeals.
I love this Louis Mariette Caesar leaf headband as it personifies all of the above. It would look particularly good with a deep burgundy or forest green evening dress with a bit of body shimmer on the cheeks and shoulders, but I'm sure you'd be able to think of a million and one other outfits to wear it with too.
