Gucci sue Guess for trademark infringement over 'GG' logo

Some would say it was only a matter of time (others might asky why hasn't it happened earlier!?) before Gucci laid down the law, so to speak, and are suing the Guess brand for trademark infringement. The claim is related to their 'GG' logo bags and shoes, as well as what Gucci say are direct rip-offs of their recognisable green and red designs.

Gucci alleges Guess "replicated entire Gucci product designs, to the point that there appears to be a concerted effort to 'Gucci-ize' [their] product line" and are seeking unspecified money damages, a court order barring Guess from using the disputed designs and patterns AND want them destroying all existing items which display any of the aforementioned design quirks. Should be an interesting one to follow... we will keep you posted!
