Okay so by the looks of it, Miu Miu have actually used the old shopping basket as inspiration for their patent cutout basket bag, but that doesn't mean we can't give these lookalike bag cousins a good-natured ribbing. Patent leather and plastic are worlds apart (as the price tag is sure to be), but somehow despite this, these two come out the other end looking pretty similar. So the question is, would you fork out £484 for designer basket chic? Or just hang around the back entrance of your local supermarket in the hopes they toss a few old baskets out? Er, or neither...
