Subversively stitched shopping bags

Until now, I had reached the conclusion that every single possible permutation of a 'non plastic bag' bag phenomenon that could ever be invented had already been done (to death), but it seems there's more life in that particular old dog yet.

The latest idea is to take the plastic bags handed out by supermarkets as the basis for your design, and create hand-made 'replicas' of those familiar designs. This one is by OBudah on Craftster. I've not seen any based on UK supermarkets yet, but think this is a great idea I'd love to see someone try it out with Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose designs!

That is both cute and questionable. My question is "What is the point?" Most people who are using re-usable bags don't want to hide among the plastic bags and not be noticed. But ... to each their own, I guess.

I just bought the new Envirosax Candy style that came out yesterday (http://www.brightandbold.com/e..., but now that I see these... it would be super fun to get one or two of these to use with my others at the grocery store (I always use 6 or 7 bags anyway because I don't go as often). I think these would get a ton of doubletakes because they look so much like the real U.S. plastic grocery bags it's hilarious! Great find - thanks for the link!
