Any excuse to get his kit off eh... Marc Jacobs has once again posed in the buff, this time with only a new season Louis Vuitton holdall to protect his modesty. The shot, set to appear in the January issue of Harper's Bazaar, is to promote the return of the famous Sprouse graffiti print, which Marc is bringing back to Vuitton in the form of a limited edition collection of accessories and ready-to-wear.

Stephen Sprouse first collaborated with Louis Vuitton in 2001 on the famous graffiti bags, but since his passing in 2004, it is Marc who has been left the task of interpreting the famous Sprouse aesthetic for the new collection. The line coincides with an Eighties retrospective in January/February at Deitch Projects' gallery and a Sprouse book which is to be released on February 1.

"I tried to take what Stephen had done at Vuitton and then kind of flip it in my head, and make it Vuitton's work for Stephen, not Stephen's work for Vuitton," Jacobs told WWD.

The result is lime green graffiti leggings, rose motifs (another Sprouse signature) on classic monogram Speedys and even a graffiti print raincoat. The tribute pieces will be available from Louis Vuitton stores worldwide from January 9, 2009.
