Last week, Kiss and Makeup's Zara and I were lucky enough to pop over to the Arcadia press day, where we were treated to a visual overload of gorgeous dresses at Miss Selfridge, spectacular shoes at Topshop, fun florals at Dorothy Perkins and of course amazing bags and accessories at all of them!
Feathers and beading were prominent in the Freedom collection - if you look back at a number of S/S 09 shows (Dior and Louis Vuitton were just two) they had huge tribal influences in bags and shoes, so this is a natural extension of this. I've always been a proponent of feather earrings, but must say we were surprised at how heavy a lot of these ones were - you may be able to handle this trend but your earlobes may not! There was also a lot of bright colour, stones and floral decos - all very summery and all very much something to look forward to.
