Having just come back to London from a long weekend in the south of France, where I was lucky enough to experience some beautiful days at the beach and even some fairly warm sunshine, I must say having to get out my plain black brolly again for this drizzly weather just doesn't really make me feel particularly good about life...

What could cheer me up, is this Tibor Kalman-designed umbrella which would mean every time I look up, I would see a far more uplifting view than the real thing. I might even be able to pretend I am in Nice again - and if I can't avoid those puddles, then I can at least pretend I'm paddling in the Med! It is priced at $48 and can be found at the MoMA Store.
