There's something romantic and retro about a parasol in summer. I love how Dita von Teese deemed one an essential festival-going accessory and they're also a quirky yet practical addition to a picnic in the park or laying poolside on holiday (gotta combat those wrinkle-causing rays somehow!)
However, as far as practicality goes, this ShadyLace Parasol, $299, might not be very useful. It wouldn't even function as an actual parasol since it is filled with (lovely, delicate) holes that would allow the sun through - although it might make you feel like you're shading yourself under some trees, which could be nice. Used as a table umbrella, we can't imagine it's much more effective. But, it's so pretty! We love the leaves and branches design, and can only imagine the fetching shadow it casts.
