At the River Island press day for the year ahead, there were some key trends that really stood out. Obviously they were more evident in the clothes, but for chickens like me, they were also reflected in the accessories, so I don't need to go head to toe in neon. Neon was really big, with lots of dayglo prints and bold shapes and colours. Another trend was the metallic look, perfect for Winter, with lots of bags having a great metallic sheen, often with matching shoes as well. Finally, the nautical theme was still going strong, with lots of red, blue and gold featured.

Here we see a lot of metallic and studs, from over sized buckles to eighties style leopard prints, for that great sexy wintry look.
I love the large neon bags here, and the Big Shopper hold all would be perfect for a long weekend or a trip to the gym. Look forward to seeing these in stores from August onwards.
