Karl Lagerfeld's handbags take inspiration from... himself

If you had to think of a designer who would actually use themselves as muse for their own collection, one name immediately springs to mind.
A certain Karl Lagerfeld has apparently been inspired by himself for his new handbag and luggage line, collaborating with the Accessory Network Group [ANG] for the collection.
Silver zippers that resemble cravats, woven Ks, and tote handles in the shape of Karl's signature shades are all predominant features of the collection.
"We wanted to create details that are very identifiable with the designer," Abe Chehebar, chairman and chief executive officer of ANG, told WWD. "Karl has seen [the collection], and loves it. There's so much potential with the Lagerfeld line because Karl himself is endlessly inspiring."
The collection is due in store in October.
