Wearing a straw trilby this summer might feel like you're looking in a mirror everywhere you go, such will be their popularity (it's not gonna stop me from getting one however!) They might not be everyone's cup of tea, so I thought it wise to investigate some other options...
Obviously, the straw cowboy hat is a fairly similar alternative - Topshop, ASOS and Dorothy Perkins all have good cheap options starting at £10, while Melissa Odabash has a nice (albeit pricey) one available on Net-a-Porter. A wide-brim floppy hat is ultra chic and great for days lapping up the rays on the beach - make like Sienna Miller and try a black straw version, or go for patterned, ombre, multi-coloured or classic straw tied with a pretty ribbon. Otherwise you might be more of a military cap, panama hat or weird and wacky kind of girl (try this pintuck woven hat or even a turban!)... the options are endless!
