It might sound a little bit la-di-dah, house in the country, silver spoon in the mouth etc to sleep using a silk pillowcase, but this is an area where we should actually emulate the hoity toity set. Whilst sleeping your skin can be prone to wrinkling and stretching, and by using a silk pillow case this alleviates the strain on the skin. Whilst skin might snag on cotton it glides over silk and prevents creasing.
It doesn't have to cost the earth either, as this case is £37.50 from Holistic Silk, and also contains a removable lavender insert, if you'd like a wash of aroma to send you off to the land of nod. It's also hand stitched in the Himalayas, using Far Trade, so it's a great ethical option. Oh, and did I mention it's pretty?
