Last November, the Nielsen group surveyed 25,000 people in 48 countries and asked them a question I know I've thought about a fair few times myself: if money were no object, which luxury brand store would you run to as fast as your little legs could take you?
Well, the results are in and apparently we all love ourselves a bit of Gucci.
Tom Ford is largely credited with the huge turnaround in sales after he took the helm of the Italian luxury goods company in the mid 1990s.
The interlocking 'G' logo and bamboo handles are just two style features of Gucci's handbag designs which have become synonymous with the brand and helped to make the Gucci name - according to Nielsen - the most coveted.
What do you think? Would Gucci be your luxury brand of choice and, if not, which other brand would you choose?
