Bracelets and cuffs seemed to be the accessory du jour (aside from a hard case clutch of course) at the Oscars this year. While a bare décolletage and pared-back makeup was the order of the day for many actresses (think Amy Adams and Cameron Diaz), wristwear on the other hand was big, bold, multi-stacked and sparkly.

Earrings were subtle affairs with Jessica Alba (left, wearing Cartier) and Anne Hathaway (wearing Harry Winston) showing that bigger is not always better and smaller is far, far sweeter.
Those who did venture into necklace territory did so on a big scale – think Nicole Kidman with her 1399-carat diamond L’Wren Scott design (below right) or fellow Aussie Cate Blanchett with her chunky ethnic-inspired creation.
