I'm not sure anyone who survived the Pepsi & Shirlie years (or rather, months) will ever feel entirely comfortable with over-the-knee socks, but they could in fact be just the thing to bridge the gap between winter and spring (I don't know if you've noticed, but it's already started getting warmer...).
If you're cool with the over-the-knee sock concept then you could do a lot worse than these cute knee-patch fellas from Anthropologie. Called 'Mintonette', they're also available in oatmeal and cobalt and cost $14.88.
