Top Five Wallets: Which one should I choose?

zara_head.jpg

Don't you love it when your personal life spills over into work? Well thankfully my current crisis is actually relevant; I'm looking for a new wallet as my current one is one its serious last legs (were it a horse it would have been put down mercifully some time ago) and the hunt is on for a viable new option. There are certain parameters to be fulfilled here, I want something small, not one of those fit your life and your Granny's sized pocket pals, and I want it roughly the size of two oyster cards (to help you visualize here). It needs to have a zip coin compartment, a generous amount of room to hold all my cards and tat, preferably a see through window for random photos, oh and a cute stylish print that won't date and doesn't have any ostentatious logos or ugly zips. All this for about £25? The hunt is on...

Number 1: Loungefly Canvas Bird wallet from ASOS

Now I think this has to be favourite of all, with its quirky off the wall styling, roomy inside and oh so cute anchor print lining, set off by the contrasting red and white stripes. It's £22 and meets every item on tick list, with it's detachable (zip up!) change purse, multi room compartments and clear photocard sleeve, plus a super cute bird heart design on the cover. I think I'm sold.

Number 2: Leather front Wallet from Topshop

I do like a bit of pink on my person and this 100% leather purse may be the answer I've been waiting for. It's cute, it's round about the right size and at £15 it's cheap enough to have change for some matching hair slides. It has an inner zipped compartment and I like the catch on the front.

Number 3: Paul Frank Julius wallet from Spoiled Brat

£27.50 seems a little steep for something which primary market seems to be tweens, but there is still somehting fairly engaing about this cutesy purse.

Number 4: Xhilaration® Zip Wallet from Target

It's $12.99 and sadly not available on UK shores, but for lucky US shoppers they can own this funky heart printed wallet, with a zip compartment and card holders, basically everything I wanted out a of a purse and for a quarter of the price. Who wants to start a campaign for Target in the UK? I see a Facebook group looming...

Number 5: Petal Wallet Plates Laminate from Pink Lining/

At £30 this is above my budget but I couldn't resist including this lovely creation as the design is so cute and quirky with the cutest flower applique detail, and even better, it has loads of room inside to keep all my stuff.

Number 5 but without the hideous flower *shrugs*

  • Beth

Yay, I bought number one on holiday in Florida in June. >.< (And it was half the price.) It's lovely, by the way, and I get comments all over the place.

#1 is really pretty but too MASSIVE!

    Height: 11cm (4.5 inch)

    Width: 20cm (8 inch)

Who needs an 8inch wide purse?
