Classic bags: Fendi baguette

The Fendi baguette is often cited as launching the "It-bag" trend in the US back in 1997 when Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City declared it her signature bag. The small bag features the double F logo famously created by Karl Lagerfeld when he began working for the luxury leather company in 1962. Silvia Venturini Fendi actually designed the Baguette, it fits just under your arm and is carried like french bread, hence the name. She took inspiration from vintage bags, which explains the smaller size. It is now available in many different fabrics, from leather to crocodile to embroided straw.
