My husband gets quite worked up when people use the word "ultimate" to mean "best" because "ultimate" actually means "last ever". I use it to describe this 'Bridle' bowler by Maxx New York ($148 from Nordstrom) because not only do I think it's the best metallic bag I've seen, but also because it should surely be the last. Metallic bags have got to be over, haven't they? Haven't they? Anyway, whether they are or not I'll be buying this one. I just need to choose whether to go with the chrome finish pictured, or the equally fabulous midnight or brass.
