I never really went for the whole metallic trend – I just wasn’t sure it was a look I could pull off – but I do like it and I may be tempted to give it a try with something a bit more subtle. I think this grey balloon handbag from Marni could pass for metallic (grey’s almost silver) and although at £760 it’s a little more than I want to pay for a trend I’m not sure about it looks very luxurious with its goatskin outer and calfskin inner.
