Shagpile Handbags - recycled, handmade, eco-friendly, cute

Don't be put off by the name: "Shagpile" may not be the most glamorous sounding handbag label, but it's certainly one of the most original. Each bag is made from "vintage, retro, unusual and reclaimed fabric" (to quote the website), and is hand-stitched, creating that attention to detail you just don't get with mass-produced bags. The bag pictured above is called "Taylor" and is made from an original, 1970s fabric. I love the combination of print and cord, and the cute little buttons on the front, and if you like it too, well, there's plenty more where that came from. Now you just have to get your head around the idea of saying things like, "Do you like my new Shagpile?" and "Oh, this old thing? It's a Shagpile."
