I don't even want to know how they came up with the name 'Gleniffer', but I almost want to say that the red and black pattern was inspired by some of the Fendi 'Spy' incarnations...and not my favorite ones, either. 'Embroidered cabbage roses and amoeba-like buds float over scarlet canvas,' says Anthropologie, to describe this mess. 'Amoeba'??? Am I being too harsh? Am I unnecessarily critical of all handbags boasting embroidery?
Maybe I'm the only one who thinks so, but yucky, funky, blocky embroidery on canvas must all come from the same place: designer hell. US$88 for 'Glennifer' however, is a lot more affordable than the US$3090 Fendi wants for that 'Spy!'
