From Active Endeavors, the same retailer that sent out a promotional picture that provoked in me ire, comes this portrait of a lovely model demurely seated in an indoor lounge area, clutchin' a clutch.
Even if I'm a little baffled by the bag (an incredibly unique, knotted, gray watersnake clutch by Katherine Kwei, US$845) I will concede to the appropriateness of a clutch in the proper setting; somewhere you aren't going to do much more than chat, eat, drink, maybe as much as schmooze. This girl will likely not walk great distances, and there is likely no great demand to carry much (probably not even that clutch - it can be easily set down nearby), nor many manual tasks that are likely to pop up. So hooray for clutches that are worn during the daytime -- in appropriate places.
