I recently took a peek at the Givenchy 'Bettina' satchel favored by the one and only SJP (the queen of fabulousness is pictured above at her 'Bitten' launch for Steve and Barry's) and omigod it is a soft, supple, simply superb beauty. I was turned off by it before because of the odd, super-recognizable shape but that lovely color and supreme wrinkled leather more than makes up for my intial distaste. And, um, of course you can unclasp the front for a more rectangular shape - doh. Get one for US$$1,395 from Barneys, though I have a feeling it'll be on sale sooner or later.
