New Anya Hindmarch bags at Saks Fifth Avenue (Oh, and her not-plastic tote sold out in 3 hours)

Riding on the wave of publicity generated by her limited edition, uber-mega-over-hyped release of 'I'm Not A Plastic Bag' (lines wrapped around buildings in NY and LA, and the ten thousand bags sold out in three hours, by the way), Anya Hindmarch releases a new handbags, available on Saks Fifth Avenue for pre-order. Too bad all of them are completely unremarkable.

Overpriced Designer Man Bag

I never understood the appeal of the I'm Not A Plastic Bag bag. Wouldn't it be ironic if the bag were to be deemed unfashionable next season and ended up in the landfill?

If we take a second to ignore the not-a-plastic-bag drama, most of Anya Hindmarch's other bags are really cute actually(all the stuff last season on net-a-porter!) and in her new line, I quite like the bogart leather tote and the calandra frame clutch on the Saks website. Have to see it in person soon - maybe that'll change my mind?
