Socialite Gillian Hearst totes the Fendi 'B' bag in bone with patent trim

All right, I admit it... I didn't see what the big deal was about the Fendi B bag, and every time I saw another incarnation pop up, I dismissed it. I was especially wary about the more colorful versions - ugh! But see Gillian Hearst (attending 4th Annual "Event To Prevent' benefit in New York City) not only matches her bone with patent trim Fendi with a slinky green dress, but looks pretty darn good with it. I'm starting to see how one could feel justified spending US$1840 (from Saks Fifth Avenue) on this quintessential "It bag". If you want everyone to know how much you spend on accessories, the Fendi B is the way to go. Anyone could recognize it from a mile away, backwards, and upside down. P.S. Dearest Lydia - the weird flower trim around your white shift dress have got to go.

Argh I just bought this exact bag, and it doesn't really go with anything I have. it's quite dressy, and I'm more of a casual gal..might take it back for the boring but effective Chanel 255

I'm not an "It bag" girl, but I love the Fendi B. I like structured bags. Plus, the details are bold without being overwhelming. It's both casual and dressy. Now, if I could just find one at a thrift shop.
