We gushed about the YSL reversible tote on Bag Lady several times now (here, and here). So when the Nordstrom salesgirl whispered to me that one would drop to US$800 from US$1295 on June 6th, I weaned myself of my attachment to the Christian Louboutin 'Iron' bag and put in an order for the YSL! At first, I could not decide between the brown/gold, the purple/silver and the gold/silver totes, but apparantly only the brown/gold one would be discounted so that made up my mind for me. The leather is soft and sturdy, extremely light and manages to look great without much fuss or embellishment. Unlike other huge slouchy bags I've seen, the YSL reversible retains its shape because it sports a firm bottom with little studded feet on both the gold and brown sides to protect it when it is set down. And of course, its reversible so it feels like a doubly great buy! If you like what you see, call your local Nordies to see if they'll be putting any on sale on June 6th!
