More alternatives to *that* Anya Hindmarch bag

So are you sick of all the "I'm Not A Plastic Bag" fuss yet? I'm actually not, which is funny because I've usually got a low tolerance for "It" bags, but (whether the Anya Hindmarch bag is environmentally-friendly or not) I'm excited that there is so much focus on alternatives to the evil plastic bag. But once you've got your selection of reusable bags, what do you do with all the carrier bags cluttering up your cupboards? Carry on over the cut to find out (the clue's in the picture...).
Yes, the clutch above is crocheted from old plastic carrier bags. Discovered by our fantastic new blog, Crafty Crafty (can you guess what it's about?), the pattern can be found at Nezumi World.

And if you've made the clutch and you've still got bags left over, how about this tote from Erika Knight?

Also discovered by Crafty Crafty, this bag by Caroline B at Instructables.com shows just how easy (and cheap) it is to make your own tote (and broadcast any message you like).
