The Anthropologie 'Farmstand' tote (left) bears strong resemblance to last year's "affordable" Hermes offering, the beach tote circa 2006 (right), no? (P.S. This year's "affordable" bag is the Hermes beach bag in cotton toile, US$850, as described previously on Bag Lady.) I realize the stripes are a little different, but the orange shade is exactly the same, and the both are expandable via side snaps AND both were also available in the same shade of cerulean blue. All in all, though, I think I prefer the Anthropologie version. The Hermes beach tote has a rounded bottom, so it cannot stand up on its own. And of course, Anthropologie's tote is leagues less expensive, at only US$98. Not that I recommend eBay shopping for designer handbags, but if you'd like to see the blue version of the Hermes tote, check out this listing.
