For years my mother has kept a big bag of material scraps in the sewing room, and when I was little, I used to cut up little bits of fabric and make all sorts of things (mostly Barbie Doll clothes). Since then I have been keen on patchwork, and so it is no surprise that I'm gushing about this particular belt from curiousbird. It's styled on a traditional Japanese Obi featuring warm earthy tones of red and white, showing butterflies and flowers. It ties with a grosgrain ribbon at the back, and measures in at 22" wide and 4" high. For only AU$45, it's what I would call a bargain!
