Henry Cuir's 'Eucalyptus' frame bags

Henrycuirbags

Henry Cuir is mostly famous on this blog for producing the 'Puzzle' tote, which received a favourable response when it was featured as last week's Yay or Nay handbag. I've just discovered these 'Eucalyptus' frame bags over at Barneys, which are handmade and handstitched in Italy. I have no idea what makes them even remotely Australian, with a name like that, but aren't they gorgeous, particularly the cognac crocodile on the right, which is $5,500. The black bag, which looks like it could be a brushed patent, is $970. Meet my new favourite designer, girls!

Australia does a brisk trade in crocodile skins, but that's still a bit of a stretch.
