You may've noticed that Gemma from Shoewawa and your Bag Lady editor, (moi), have been fairly quiet over the past week and a half - we've been off in sunny Las Vegas covering the CES event for Shiny Shiny and Tech Digest. In between all the frantic coverage of the latest gadgets we'll all be drooling over for the next 12 months, we managed to fit in a bit of shopping in America's fabulous department stores. Yep, Neiman Marcus, Macys, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, we hit them all, and bought up a storm. I indulged in a bit of Marc by Marc Jacobs retail therapy, buying the nylon shopper on the left for $198 in Macy's (pick it up for only $178 at eLuxury), and the turnlock bowler on the right for $298 (Macy's don't list it on their website, the next cheapest I could find online was $398 from Nordstrom). Take a look under the jump for some more of my splurges...
Unfortunately that's all I could afford handbag-wise, but I did get a couple more bits and bobs, particularly in Forever 21, what a great shop! Still, I guess we have Topshop and Primark, so it's a good trade-off, no? The petite multistrand necklace on the left was only $4.80, and the red heart strand was $6.80. To top off my accessories spend, the Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses were a steal at only $90. I haven't managed to wear them in good ol' Blighty yet, but give the weather time!
