I stumbled across this brooch on the Soma Fashions website and gosh, isn't it cute? It reminds me of drawings from Enid Blyton books like 'The Magic Faraway Tree'. The brooch is made of Jarrah wood, paper and a resin coating, so it is waterproof and the ink won't run. It's rather small, at 3.7cm X 3.2cm, so I can imagine it fixed to a hat or a bag of mine. This one-time only piece is on sale for $36AUD, which I think is a little steep for such a small thing; but hey, you can't argue with fashion!
