Giles Deacon For Mulberry Spring / Summer 2007

Mulberry1_1

Exciting news, ladies! Not only is he going to collaborate with New Look (can you imagine the shoes already, boy oh boy...), but Giles Deacon has recently teamed up with another English label, Mulberry, to create eight handbags. Inspired by S&M, but with a disco twist, they'll be out in Spring this year, and borrow heavily from his Autumn/Winter 06/07 collection. As you can see, there's a couple of new styles created just for him, with thick Eastern-influenced gold handles. Take a look under the jump for six more redesigns of current Mulberry styles...

Both patent leather 'Roxanne's, the right has both gold and silver hardware, with two large studs on the pockets.

This patchwork, metallic 'Bayswater' on the left has only been released as 70 bags, making it extremely limited edition, and I'd imagine, extremely expensive as well! On the right is the 'Bayswater Kenya'.

The black patent leather 'Roxanne' on the left looks maybe too garish for my liking, but the 'Belgrave' on the right has been fashioned in typical Mulberry style.

Actually, it's not a Roxanne, it looks more like a Bayswater.

  • To be honest Keely, I tend not to like patent bags, I find none of them look as good as the original. Now, patent shoes on the other hand...!

  • I'm surprised you find the black patent "Roxanne" garish - the hardware is understated and the shape simple. I love it.
