Chanel 'Naked' Shopper

It may have the intertwined Cs and the signature chain straps, but is this piece of PVC nothing more than a glorified plastic bag? Am I missing the point? I would love to own a Chanel bag, and at my current rate of saving this will not be anytime soon. However at $950, I would hope to get more than this. If you are brave enough to display the contents of your bag from loose change, make up and snotty old tissues to the world, and have the money to spare, then by all means go ahead, you are braver (and richer) than me. You can pick this shopper up direct from Chanel or you can borrow it from Bag, Borrow or Steal for $75 a week.

I want this bag soo badly I think its an awsome twist on a clasic bag. But.. 75$ a week ... I would rather just save for 12 weeks. It is over priced though

I have this bag. It's fantastic, and it's not filled with snotty tissues or loose change floating around in it when I use it. I fill it with my wallet (where I have a zipper that keeps loose change), my cell phone, ipod, small address/phone number book, business card case, pen and personalized notepad. As far as I'm concerned, the bag is a great value for a Chanel. It's roomy, fun, and if you fill it with bright colored and sparkly items like I do then it's just adorable, and oh so easy to find everything!

Well, $1000 for a bag-- leather, or plastic, is bogus to me. I'll do $1000 for a vacation, or possibly for a laptop, anyday.. but a bag? Hah. No.

This reminds me of the late 1990's when there were those small, clear "lunch box" style bags that were clear.

  • Shocking. Goes to show you how much of a mark-up some of these designers will use. Leather - maybe. Plastic - NEVER!
