Top Five: Interesting Scarves

Interestingscarves

Scarves can be really boring. I'm not saying that a good plain woolly scarf is a bad addition to your wardrobe - it's usually an essential - but as accessories are one area you can get away with a bit of whimsy, try a bright colour, have a little fun. So here's a handful of warm scarves that have a bit of added interest...

Go for fabulous texture, colour and detail with scarves like these, from left: Eleanora boucle wool and acrylic fringed scarf £32 and Dorothy Perkins chunky knit pompom scarf in coral £12. Top right, Echo knitted 'angel wings' scarf £20, bottom right, 'Woodland' wool, silk and velvet scarf with brooches, £50 from Pia.

Of course I haven't forgotten the fifth scarf of the top five, but this little baby really needed a picture on his own! Make your feelings about fur very clear with this rather over the top 'ecological fur' scarf from Karma (£58). Whimsy-gone-wild!

  • *So* pretty :) You should check out the scarves at H&M - got two pashmina-style ones for £10 and £8 respectively and they were lovely. Also, DPs have even more really great scarves in-store :)

I think my shoe obsession has been transferred to scarves this month :)

  • I know what you mean - I'm suddenly in the mood for a different scarf for every outfit! The brooches on that woodland one are so pretty aren't they?

  • Great picks, Elizabeth :) I've already been eyeing the ASOS and DP scarves.. but now I wantwantwant the 'woodland' scarf. Gorgeous!

(Can you tell I'm a whimsical dresser?)
