'The New Wayfarer' Sunglasses by Ray-Ban

Rayban_wayfarer
It's official.  They're back.

An icon of the 80s, made famous by The Blues Brothers and Tom Cruise in the film Risky Business, they started appearing on starlets such as Chloe Sevigny, Mary-Kate Olsen and Kirsten Dunst earlier this year.  Momentum picked up, people started talking - and now Ray Ban has capitalised on this new-found interest, releasing 'The New Wayfarer' sunglasses last night in New York.  With attendees like Mischa Barton and Molly Sims - no doubt taking a few freebies home - it seems certain that we're going to continue seeing this style for some time.

As for the rest of us, they'll hit stores in January 2007.

Ugh no, please no. I remember them being the sunglasses of the 80's. Can we just leave them in the 80's where they belong, please?

Do I have to wear cotton-candy frosted pink lipstick and blue mascara, too? GAG ME WITH A SPOON.

I agree. They're terribly unflattering to most faces.

i happen to be a teenager and am in LOVE with these glasses. They help the mysterious and attractive look that you are going for. They are amzing with any outfit and i hope they are here to stay

They are really cool in my point of view in many faces, but RayBan should look a little around, look at these: http://www.retrosuperfuture.com
