Marc Jacobs's Handbags at New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2007
Sure, New York Fashion Week may have finished already, and London's Fashion Week just started, but that doesn't mean we've given up bombarding you with lovely pictures of what we'll all be coveting come next season! These quilted babies come from the loins of Marc Jacobs, arguably one of today's most celebrated handbag designer. He seems to have updated the Stam for the warmer climes, and created most of the line in metallic colours, similar to his fashion line of the same collection. Click on the jump for some more padded bags - but be warned, they're addictive!
A lot of the hats and jewellery were created using huge chunky rhinestones like those added to the blue snakeskin-effect bag on the right. In my opinion, they look gaudy and cheap on this bag, but I'm sure I'll change my mind come next year.
How beautiful is the shade of that lilac bag on the left? Not so sure about the peach coloured one, though.
Don't these remind you of those beige and cream patchwork handbags your granny has? Marc must have been inspired by his own grandmother's collection!

Looks like Marc's going to continue shining for another year :)) I do love his style :D
(anyone wanna take pity on me and get me that ridiculous, but strangely fetching rhinestone bag? ;)
