Luella's Handbags for Spring Summer 2007 at the New York Fashion Week

I was fairly disappointed to find that the handbags Luella showed off in her collection at the New York Fashion Week recently were not to my liking - she's one of my favourite designers, it's sad to see her creating pieces that look like they're made from tinfoil! As you can see, instead of attaching her trademark leather heart charms (ok, there were a few about), she used tacky mirror balls and what look like CDs, which you must admit isn't the most classiest of items. She too jumped on the metallic and patent bandwagon like Marc Jacobs and Badgley Mischka, no doubt in order to add a disco-diva feel to all the monochrome outfits she sent out on the catwalk for Spring and Summer 2007. All in all, another disappointing collection of handbags, hopefully she'll adapt them in between the coming months so us Bag Ladies can have an excuse to spend some money!
