I was thinking about umbrellas as a fashion statement the other day when I stumbled across brolliesgalore.co.uk, and specifically the beautiful designs of Chantal Thomas (believe me, I never thought I would call umbrellas beautiful!) A luxurious lingerie designer by trade, her brollie collection follows the same 'ultra-feminine and sensuous philosophy' as her French knickers. This one (£84.60) is so simply made elegant with its bow detail and rich 'prune' colour, it even manages to remain looking stylish when folded. I really can imagine strolling down the street swinging that beside me - I'd be desperate for the rain just to show it off!
