Principles Peacock Bag

Peacock_3

I'm a bit of an amateur historian at heart, and I still remember one particular history lesson at school when we were told monarchs wrote with peacock feathers as a sign of their wealth and status. That coupled with the fact I just like the look and style of peacock feathers has made me seek out anything that features them, particularly when it comes to accessories. If you don't mind the fact that this bag from Principles at Freemans will probably be shredded within days, it's a bargain at just £35.

I love peacock feathers too, but this bag is a little over-the-top for me. It would be awesome with a black dress, though!

I love the look of peacock feathers - they are beautiful - but i just cannot bring myself to wear them as i am so superstitious. They are considered bad luck because of the 'evil eye' in the markings and are supposed to bring a curse on any house they enter into. This really annoys me as i have seen so many gorgeous peacock accessories that i fancy, especially earrings!

I heard that about the evil eye as well, but by the time I heard it I already had several items featuring peacock feathers so I just carried on regardless!
