Dooney Denim

I've always considered Dooney & Bourke a sort of poor man's Louis Vuitton (and when I say 'poor man' I mean "No caviar today, just smoked salmon"  rather than "no food today, just medicine for tiny Tim"). This is why. Where Vuitton goes, Dooney will follow. Was it entirely necessary for another monogram-lead brand to print their logo on denim and sell it at overly inflated prices? The Louis Vuitton Baggy PM (left) is $1,070 at Eluxury, while the Dooney & Bourke Pocket Sac is $225.
